Plantation Oak is a marketing name developed to promote imported Eucalyptus species with a similar appearance to Tasmanian and Victorian Eucalyptus species (commonly known as Tasmanian Oak and Victorian Ash).
The timber is light and consistent in colour, varying from straw to occasional intermediate shades of cream, pink and green. It is recognised for its excellent staining qualities, which allow ready matching with other timbers, finishes or furnishings. Suitable for a wide variety of internal applications from ceiling linings and joinery applications. It is not suitable for exposed exterior applications unless it is kept out of the weather.
