Myrtle, Chilean (Truewood)

Myrtle Chilean Truewood - Timber Veneer & Plywood Species

A versatile species native to Chile and Argentina, Chilean Myrtle grows to a height of 50 metres. Its attractive appearance, has made it a favourite for furniture and paneling, and it is also used to make barrels for fine Chilean wines. Its veneers have been popular, particularly in marine applications, for many years. It has lost some appeal due to uncertainty surrounding the legality of the log supply. Truewood Chilean Myrtle, however, was born from an environmentally-minded philosophy and offers boat builders and architects a new straight-grain look with peace-of-mind.
