As sliced veneers are the most common form of decorative veneers, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to the range of species, sizes and other features available for you to choose from.
If you’re all about the texture of timber, then matilda rough cut could be for you. In a similar way to freshly sawn timber, rough cut veneers exhibit a slightly rough, textured surface. These veneers encourage people to interact with the product and this provides a tactile and memorable experience. It could just be the thing that gives your next project that ‘x’ factor and sets it apart from the rest. Rough cut is increasingly popular with our European cousins, and we’re proud to be introducing this beautiful veneer range to Australia.
Another popular option is our Truewood range. If you’re seeking a consistent aesthetic but want real wood, this is the perfect option. Truewood is a reconstructed veneer, using low grade veneers that are re-manufactured into a highly consistent, highly sought after architectural product. While the big advantage of naturally sliced veneers, aside from its beauty, is that no two projects are the same. The natural variation of timber means that previously, on occasion, designers have felt the need to turn to a synthetic product to achieve the consistency they’re looking for. But, with Truewood veneers, they (and you!) can now choose a product that is both natural and dependable.
