While the name ‘Hoop Pine’ suggests it is a member of the pinus species, it is not. It merely looks like a pine and, as a result, was given its often misleading common name. In application, Hoop Pine is a far superior species. While quarter-cut sliced Hoop Pine is notoriously difficult to produce due to the small sized logs, Truewood offers the quarter-cut look with consistency and style. The use of black glue gives the finished veneer definition and is a bold design choice.
